Butler uses a cloud-based telephony service called RingCentral. Individual faculty/staff with RingCentral accounts are able to send faxes from their accounts.
Students:
- Students can ask the staff at the IT Help Desk or Campus Impressions to send a fax on their behalf from their individual RingCentral account.
- Other options for faxing that students can explore on their own include DropBox, online faxing (various providers), the UPS store in Broad Ripple, and the FedEx store in Broad Ripple. Fees may apply.
Faculty and Staff:
Faculty and staff can both send and receive faxes from their individual RingCentral accounts. For more information, go to

Departmental Fax Numbers:
Departmental fax numbers only receive
incoming faxes, they cannot be used to send faxes. For more information, go to
Departmental Fax Numbers in RingCentral. Faxes sent to departmental fax numbers are delivered to shared mailbox inboxes.
