- Enter your Butler email address and then click Search. Choose one of the available options to send a verification code to your personal email or mobile phone number.
- Note: if your Butler email is the only recovery option listed, you may need to wait until the next day to change your password so that the data has time to sync. Try again the next day. Then, contact the IT Help Desk (How to Contact the IT Help Desk).
- Note: if you have no available recovery methods, contact the IT Help Desk (How to Contact the IT Help Desk).
- Retrieve the code and enter it in the Code box. Click Check Code.
- Once your identity has been verified, click Continue to reset password.
- Enter a new password adhering to the password requirements (What are the password requirements?) and confirm it. Do not reuse a password for another site - ensure your Butler password is unique. Refrain from using the autofill function or randomly generating a password. Click Change Password. You will see a screen confirming that your password was successfully changed.
- Before you can access Butler sites, you must also set up two-factor authentication (Two-Factor Authentication (2fa) Index).
