If you have lost your usb security key, please contact the IT Help Desk.
To Reset/Change Your 2fa Option:
- Go to 2fa.butler.edu
- Enter your Butler email address and password. Click Sign In.
- Verify your identity by choosing to have a one-time code sent to your email or mobile phone. Note: the alternate email and cell phone are pulled from password.butler.edu. If you need to update your alternate email or cell phone number, you can do that by going to password.butler.edu and clicking Update Profile).
- Enter the code in the box, then click Validate.
- If you currently have any Butler University entries in your two-factor authentication app, delete them before proceeding. (How do I remove old Butler entries from my 2fa app (Google Authenticator, Guardian)?)
- Then, click Reset my 2fa.
- You will now need to choose a 2fa method and enroll. Go to my.butler.edu or office.com and follow the prompts to setup 2fa. Android users that choose auth0 Guardian: when you re-enroll, you maybe prompted to setup a passphrase. Follow the prompts to set up the passphrase.
