What is Adobe Express?
Adobe Express is a cloud-based, all-in-one content creation platform designed to make graphic design, video editing, and document creation quick and easy for everyone, regardless of skill level. It serves as a rapid, AI-powered design tool suitable for producing social media posts, marketing materials, flyers, and short videos.
Adobe Express Access
All Faculty and Staff have access to Adobe Express automatically. Students may be eligible to access Adobe Express if:
- They are enrolled in a course that uses Adobe Express in it's curriculum or
- They are employed by the University and their work requires the use of Adobe Express.
If student Adobe Express access is needed, faculty or staff will follow the instructions for requesting access below.
To Request Adobe Express Access for Courses or Student Workers
To manage licensing costs, student access will be removed at the end of each semester. IT recommends that student workers download/share any important assets with the hiring manager before the end of each semester. A request must be submitted for every semester of access needed.
Instructors of record and hiring managers: click Create New Case on this page. Submit a case for Information Technology, including the Course ID and semester (for instructors) or the email address(es) of the student workers (for hiring managers).
Canva Transition to Adobe Express Information (Summer 2026)
As Butler transitions from Canva to Adobe Express, Canva Butler accounts will revert to Canva free accounts and access to premium Canva features and Butler-branded resources will no longer be available.
If you have designs, assets, or content that you’d like to keep, please export them before August 31. For materials you may want to recreate in the future, we recommend downloading designs as PDFs. While the design itself will need to be recreated using Butler’s new brand style, a PDF preserves your content and layout as a reference. This can make it easier to recreate materials in Adobe Express using Butler’s new branded templates.
Per IT, current Canva members will NOT receive the annual charge-back in August.
Key Dates:
- August 10, 2026: Official campus brand launch and instructions for accessing Adobe Express and the new brand kit
- August 31, 2026: Deadline for downloading Canva designs
