There are two primary places on Mac that can store your Butler password. Be sure to follow the steps for whichever pertains to you.
Updating W-iFi password and Other Butler-related Passwords (must be on campus):
- Click on the Spotlight search (magnifying glass icon) in the top-right corner of your computer and search for Keychain Access.
- Open Keychain Access.
- On the left, make sure Login is highlighted under Keychains and All Items is highlighted under Category.
- Click Butler Secure wireless from the list of stored passwords.
- Once highlighted, control+click on it and select Delete. Do this for any other Butler-related items such as //buprint, //bufiles, Butler email (see below).
- Quit the Keychain Access application.
- Click on the Wi-Fi symbol on the top-right of your screen.
- Click Open Network Preferences.
- Make sure Butler Secure wireless is highlighted on the left, and then click Disconnect to disconnect from Butler Secure wireless.
- From the dropdown menu next to Network Name, select Butler Secure wireless and reconnect with your new password.
Updating your Apple Mail or Outlook password
- Open whichever mail application you use (Outlook or Apple Mail).
- Click on the application name in the top left corner of your screen next to the Apple logo.
- Click Preferences > Account.
- Select your Butler email on the left.
- In the password field, clear out your old password and enter your new password.
- Close out of this window. If it prompts you to save, click Save. Otherwise, it will save automatically.
Remove the Keychain folder completely
