Resolution Description


Release an Email:

Note: simply "releasing" the email does not mean that another email from the same sender will continue to your mailbox. If you need to ensure continuous delivery from the same sender, please follow the steps in "Allow sender"  shown below.
  1. Access your spam filter by going to portal.proofpoint.com
  2. Log in using your full Butler email and Butler password
  3. Click on the Spam - Quarantine or Low Priority Mail - Quarantined link in the left menu
  4. In the center of the webpage find the message you would like to release
  5. Hover over the options in the top right corner of the page and click Release the message to your Inbox 
  6. You will receive a pop up notification in the lower left corner stating that the selected email message has been released
  7. The message will appear in your inbox after a short time has passed


Allow Sender

  1. Access your spam filter by going to portal.proofpoint.com
  2. Log in using your full Butler email and Butler password
  3. Click on the Spam - Quarantine or Low Priority Mail - Quarantined link in the left menu
  4. In the center of the webpage find the message you would like to allow the sender for, and check the box next to it
  5. Click Add sender email address of the message to your safe list in the top right corner of the page
  6. You will receive a pop up notification in the lower left corner stating that the selected email address has been added to your safe list. You also should see the sender under Settings > Quarantine > Allow List.
