IMPORTANT: the OnBase Outlook add-in will not install on a VDI. If you have a VDI and need the OnBase Outlook add-in, please submit a case for Information Technology (click Create New case in the upper right). You can access OnBase on your VDI using the Web Client by clicking the OnBase button on my.butler.edu.
PRIOR TO INSTALLING:
- Check your version of Outlook:
- Open Outlook.
- Click File > Office Account.
- You should see your version of Outlook under Product Information
- If it does not say Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise, you will need to upgrade Microsoft Office before proceeding. Follow these steps: Butler Windows PC Microsoft Office 365 Install
- Close Outlook.
- If you currently have the OnBase Outlook add-in installed, follow these steps to uninstall:
- Click on the Windows Start Menu in the lower left corner of your screen, then click on the gear icon (Settings) to open the Windows Settings screen.
- Click on Apps.
- Under Apps & Features find Hyland Office 2019 (or 2016) Integration x86 and single click to display the information.
- Click Uninstall.
OUTLOOK ADD-IN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Close Outlook.
- Open the Start Menu.
- Type "Software Center" and open it. For additional information on opening Software Center, read this article, How to Access Software Center for Application Downloads (Windows 10).
- Locate the application: OnBase Outlook Plugin 64-bit - Install OnBase Outlook Plugin 64-bit.
- Click Install.
- Once complete, the button will change to say Reinstall. Close the window.
- Re-open Outlook. You should briefly see the add-in loading while Outlook is opening
- Click on "OnBase" in the top menu of Outlook. Login to the OnBase add-in using your Butler credentials.
