To add an alternative host prior to the Zoom meeting:
- Go to https://zoom.butler.edu and sign in using your Butler username and password.
- Click My Account.
- Click Schedule a Meeting.
- Fill out meeting information such as the topic, time, etc. and then scroll to bottom of screen.
- Click Show next to "Options".
- In the Alternative Hosts field, enter the Butler email address for the person you want to add as an alternative host.
- Note: You cannot make someone that does not have a Butler email address an alternative host when scheduling a Zoom meeting. If this is needed, co-host rights must be given when in the active Zoom meeting. (see instructions below).
- Click Save.
- The person you added to the Alternative Host field will get an e-mail with a link for the future meeting and will now be able to both invite people and start and stop the meeting.
To add a co-host during an active Zoom meeting:
Option 1:
- Hover over a user's video.
- Click the ellipsis icon.
- Click Make Co-Host.
Using the participants window:
- Click Participants in the meeting controls at the bottom of the Zoom window.
- Hover over the name of the participant who is going to be a co-host, and choose More.
- Click Make Co-Host.
