Resolution Description
Zoom meetings recorded to the cloud are automatically transcribed. If you are downloading your Zoom recording and moving it to Panopto, you can also download and move the transcripts.

Download the Transcript File from Zoom

  1. Login to zoom.butler.edu and select Recordings from the left-hand menu.
  2. Locate the Zoom cloud recording and click on the meeting title.
  3. Click on Audio Transcript. The file will download to your computer's Downloads folder.

Upload the File in Panopto

  1. Navigate to your Panopto folder. (In Canvas, click the Panopto Recordings link.)
  2. Locate the correct video in Panopto and select Edit.
  3. From the left-hand menu, select Captions.
  4. Click Import Captions and select Upload or request captions.
  5. In the popup window, select Choose File under the Upload Captions section at the bottom.
  6. Navigate to your Downloads folder, select the transcript file, and select Open
  7. After a few minutes, the captions will load. In the Panopto course folder, you will see a "CC" icon indicating the process is complete.
