Information on Ethernet Ports in Residence Halls:
ResCo
There should be one active port per room. The active port in each room should be marked with the letter A on the wall plate. If you are a resident and cannot find any active ports, please submit a case to IT via ask.butler.edu. If more than one port is needed, an unmanaged network switch can be purchased and used in the rooms.
Apartment Village, Fairview House, Irvington House
Each apartment should have multiple ports activated in multiple rooms. There should be enough for at least one per resident. If you are a resident and cannot find any active ports, please submit a case to IT via ask.butler.edu. If more ports are needed, an unmanaged network switch can be purchased and used in the rooms.
University Terrace
There should be at least one active network port per apartment. If you have If you are a resident and cannot find any active ports, please submit a case to IT via ask.butler.edu. If more than one port is needed, an unmanaged network switch can be purchased and used in the rooms.
South Campus Apartments
These apartments do not have any network ports available. These apartments only have access to Secure and Guest Wireless.
