Resolution Description | When someone who believes they are the Host of a meeting does not see the full set of options that are available to that Host, it probably means that they are not signing in to Zoom the proper way.
For background info:
- This is a Participant Zoom Toolbar:
 - Whereas, this is an example Zoom Toolbar for the Host:
 - Hosts may have tools available to them such as Security, Polls, options on the Share Screen feature, Closed Caption and Breakout Rooms.
Here are some steps to ensure the Host will see the Host options correctly:
- Host must make sure they are logged in through the Butler Zoom client. If host does not have the client installed, go here for instructions: How do I install the Zoom Desktop App? (Zoom Client)
- Do not open a Zoom meeting from an email invitation or calendar event (until after user has logged in through the Zoom Client). The host must log in to ensure host controls are available.
- Open the Zoom Client then sign in through the SSO option. Important: Do NOT sign in with Google or Facebook! For Instructions go here and follow the second set of steps (steps 1-7): How do I sign into Zoom?
- Once a user is logged in this way, they should be able to access proper Host options (including opening a Zoom meeting from an email invitation or a calendar event).
- Helpful Tip: An easy way to see who is assigned Host privileges for a meeting:
- When a meeting has started, got to the toolbar and click on the Participants button.
- The person who is designated Host should have the word "Host" appear following their name.
