Why can't I upload more files or videos to my Canvas course? (Instructors)

The current course storage size is 1000MB. If instructors reach the storage maximum, they may see a file fail to upload or receive an error message saying "Error: file size exceeds quota." To remedy this:

1. Move all video and audio files to Panopto or Canvas Studio. 
   • How do I upload Zoom recordings or other videos to Canvas Studio or Panopto?
2. If you still need additional storage, contact the Online Education and Educational Technology team (oeet@butler.edu) and request an increase.

Note that Butler has a contractual course size limit and requests for increases may be denied to honor the contract if instructors have not first moved their media files.
