Team:
Create a new Team when a new use case arises.
- Work Team (ex - Human Resources department)
- Project team (ex - Development of a new product)
- Event planning (ex - Industry conference)
- Vendor management (ex - relationship between your organization and external vendor)
- Classroom (teaching and learning)
Channel (standard or private):
A subdivision of a Team, which can be standard (everyone in the Team can view it) or private (limited to specific Team members; communication boundary meant to sub-divide what the Team is doing into organized segments. Each Team has a General Channel to begin with. Each Channel has its own chat, files, and notes.
For example, on an event planning team, there may be a Channel for Contracts.
