Resolution Description
Students may encounter error messages when trying to access Collaboration documents in Canvas. Typically, with Office 365 documents, Canvas needs the student to re-login to Office 365 establish the connection between the two accounts. To troubleshoot, students should try one of the options below.

Option 1

  1. Navigate to office.com.
  2. Click Login.
  3. On the sign in screen, login with your Butler email and password.
  4. Navigate back to your Canvas course.
  5. Try accessing the Canvas Collaboration link again.

Option 2

  1. In the Course Navigation, select Office 365.
  2. In the Office 365 area, select Logout.
  3. After you are logged out, click Login and enter your Butler email and password.
  4. Select Collaborations from the Course Navigation.
  5. Try accessing the Collaborations link again.

If neither of these options work to gain access to the document, email OEET@butler.edu with your name and the course information.
