An "assignment folder" in Panopto is a special folder designed to collect student work. Assignment folders are located inside of course folders.
In a course folder, students have a view-only role, meaning that they cannot create and upload their own videos. Instructors who want their students to create videos for course assignments can utilize the Panopto assignment folder. In the assignment folder, by default, students are given a modified role where they can create and upload videos, but they cannot see their peers videos. This allows instructors to collect and view student assignment submissions privately.
