- In Teams:
- Use the tabs (Messages, People, Files) to refine your search results.
- When searching (Teams or Chat) Messages, use the filter functionality to refine search results.
- Use /saved to show you all messages you've saved (or bookmarked).
- Use /unread to show you all unread messages.
- Use the following search operators to refine your search: " ", AND, OR
- At office.com (Microsoft 365):
- Favorite your most frequently used files.
- Use the tabs (All, My Recent, Shared, Favorites) before you search.
- Use the tabs (All, Files, Sites, People) to refine your search results.
- use /files to show you the recent files you've been working with in MIcrosoft 365.
- Click on the tab Recent to find recently accessed files or click on the tab Shared to locate a file that was shared with you.
You can also bookmark files using your web browser for easy access.
Note 1: Searching in Microsoft Teams will only search in Microsoft Teams. So, files that are located in your OneDrive will not appear in the search.Use office.com (Microsoft 365) to search both Teams and OneDrive.
Note 2: If you can’t find what you are looking for, the search operators in Teams apply to the search in Office 365 as well (and will include OneDrive and SharePoint).
Note 3: If you want to search for something in a specific channel, press the Ctrl + F keys, as a keyboard shortcut. You may also click in the search box and type /find to accomplish the same thing. You will instantly get the command /find <ChannelName> prefilled for you at the top of your Teams window.
