When you leave a team or no longer want to sync folders to your computer, follow the steps below. The files will remain in Teams. This process does NOT delete the files from SharePoint or Teams.
Mac OSX:
Stop sync:
- Click the OneDrive icon in the top area by the time
- Click Help & Settings
- Click the Account tab
- Click Stop Sync
- Click the Stop Syncing button
Remove folder from Finder:
- Open Finder
- Press and hold the "Control" key
- Click the folder (while still holding the control key)
- Click Move to Trash
Windows 10:
Stop Sync:
- Click the OneDrive icon in the area next to time on the taskbar
- Click Help & Settings
- Click Settings
- Make sure you are in the "Account" tab
- Click Stop sync on the location you want
- Click OK
Remove folder from Windows Explorer:
- Open Windows Explorer
- Locate the folder you want to remove
- Right-click the folder
- Click Delete
