Butler IT provides three levels of support for software/applications:
- Full Support: IT-vetted, standard supported software (e.g., Office 365, LMS). Includes installation, troubleshooting, vendor management, and documentation.
- Examples: Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Oracle Employee and Financials
- Partial/Limited Support: Often departmental-specific. IT will assist with connection and access. IT provides support to the department that owns and manages the software.
- Examples: Mathematica, ChemDraw, SPSS, StarRez, Accommodate
- Minimal/No Support: IT may assist with connection to the software and may provide up to 30 minutes of general assistance but offers no guaranteed functionality. Finding help through the software vendor support page/representatives is highly encouraged.
- Examples: McGraw-Hill, OpenStax Tutor, Cengage
