Quick Links is an application that IT purchased for the campus to use in Microsoft Teams.
Quick Links allows anyone to create a tab to store links to important sites or files that are quickly available.
To install the Quick Links application, follow these steps:
- In Teams, click the Apps icon in the lower-left corner
- Enter Quick in the search box
- Click the QuickLinks icon
- Click the "Add"
- This will add the application to Teams
Add QuickLinks to any channel:
- Click on a channel that you want to add QuickLinks to
- Click the "+" sign along the top of the channel
- Click the QuickLinks icon
- Select the options you want
- Click the "Save" button
- Click the "Add Quicklink" button
- Type the name for the QuickLnk
- Insert the Link Adress for the link. This can easily be obtained by copying the address from the browser when you are at the location desired (could be a file in SharePoint or any other website)
- Add any desired tags to make sorting easier
- Click the "Save Changes" button
