Paper Check Payments
Paper checks, including 529 plan payments, are accepted and payable to Butler University. Please include student’s BU ID on the face of the check and mail to:

Check payments are also accepted at the Student Accounts office, located in Jordan Hall, 102. For convenience, an After Hours drop slot is also available.
Electronic Payments
1) Credit card payments must be made via E-Pay and a non-refundable convenience fee is charged to the credit card. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
Please Note: Credit card payments via mail, phone, or in-person cannot be processed.
2) Electronic payments can also be made via E-Pay from a personal checking or savings accounts. There is NO fee for this type of payment.
3) Electronic 529 plan payment can be submitted from a list of supported plans via E-Pay. The primary advantage of processing 529 payments electronically is the convenience. Beneficiaries or account owners can make immediate payments in Transact Payments (formerly CASHNet) and therefore don’t need to submit a claim, withdraw funds, and pay via check or ACH payment. To pay for payment processing services, payers are charged a flat fee of $10 for each payment.
