Locking a Windows PC

Keyboard Shortcuts:

• Press Windows key + L to instantly lock your PC.

Start Menu Method:

• Click the Start button (Windows icon).

• Select your profile icon.

• Click Lock.

Ctrl + Alt + Delete Method:

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

• Select Lock from the options.

Locking a Mac Computer

Keyboard Shortcut:

• Press Control + Command + Q to immediately lock your Mac.

Apple Menu Method:

• Click the Apple logo in the top-left corner.

• Select Lock Screen.

Hot Corners (Optional):

• Open System Settings > Desktop & Dock.

• Scroll to the bottom and click Hot Corners.

• Set a corner to Lock Screen.

• Move your mouse to that corner to lock.

NOTE: Always lock your device when stepping away from your desk to ensure your system and data remain secure.
