Note: even if you have OneDrive installed, IT recommends going through the install process to ensure you are using the latest version. OneDrive is preinstalled on Windows 11 and should check for updates every 24 hours.
Before you install OneDrive, ensure your Microsoft Office apps are signed into your Butler account.
Installing OneDrive on Windows:
- Open https://products.office.com/en-us/onedrive/download
- Click the Download button.
- Run the downloaded OneDriveSetup executable.
- After installation, click the OneDrive shortcut in the Start Menu.
- Sign in with your Butler email address and password when prompted.
- Click the Next button when prompted to confirm the default location for the OneDrive sync folder.
- Click the Next button through several screens, then click Later on "Get the mobile app".
- Click the Open my OneDrive button to complete the installation.
- The OneDrive sync folder can be found in File Explorer by clicking OneDrive - Butler University in the left pane. Alternatively, the OneDrive sync folder can be opened by selecting the OneDrive desktop app shortcut from the Start Menu.
