I cannot access my Thomas

Resetting folder permissions for Windows:

1. Go to http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html and download putty.exe located at the top of the download area.
2. Launch Putty and enter thomas.butler.edu in the Host Name field.  Use the default port 22.
3. Click Open, and then log in with your username and password (text will not appear while entering your password).
4. Type fix_account and then hit enter to recreate it.
5. If the issue persists, please contact the IT Help Desk.

Resetting folder permissions for Mac OS X:

1. Click on the Spotlight search (magnifying glass) in the top right corner of the desktop
2. Search for Terminal and open it.
3. Type ssh username@thomas.butler.edu, where username is your username.  Press "return" on the keyboard.
4. Type your Butler password (this will not show you typing), and then press "return" on the keyboard.
5. Type fix_account and then hit enter to recreate it.
6. If the issue persists, please contact the IT Help Desk.
