Students:
If you need to print on anything other than 8.5x11 plain paper, please go to
Campus Impressions for assistance.
Faculty and Staff:
The following instructions are intended for staff and faculty members using a Butler-owned Mac/PC that have already added the printer or copier to their device (How to Print from a Butler computer).
Not following these directions may result in a wide range of issues including jamming, smeared prints, and damaged equipment. If further instruction is needed, please submit a case to Information Technology (click on Create New Case in the upper right of this page) to schedule an appointment for in person training with Butler's on site Sharp representative.
File Setup:

Sharp:
The copier may say out of paper until these settings are corrected and the label paper is in the tray. The file settings need to match the tray settings for this error to not occur. You can press the OK button on this prompt to follow these instructions:
- Log into the Sharp MFP via your ID card or Butler credentials.
- Press "Access Device" and confirm your account information.
- Press the "Tray Settings" widget.
- Select the bypass tray and set the "Paper Type" to "Labels." You can now place the labels in the tray face down as indicated on the tray.
- If the file settings and tray settings match, the job will begin to print.
- The machine will keep these settings for all users until changed again.
Kyocera :
The printer may ask if the proper paper is in the tray before starting every multipurpose tray print, but you only need to set it once if you are doing multiple jobs of the same paper type or only use it for labels.
- Press the menu button
- Scroll down and select the "Paper Settings"
- Then go to "MP Tray Set"
- Select "Media Type"
- Select "Labels"
- Press Ok.
If printing on envelopes you will need to set the envelope size in the "Paper Size" section of "MP Tray Set."
