If the wrong portal address is entered when connecting to the Butler VPN, the software will appear to be stuck in a loop of failing to connect. This is due to the software attempting to connect to the wrong site.
To change the portal address, follow these steps:
- Click the 3 bars in the top-right corner of the GlobalProtect application
- Click Settings
- Make sure you are in the "General" tab
- Click to select the invalid entry
- Click the Delete button
- Click the Delete button again to confirm
- Click the Add button
- Enter vpn.butler.edu
- Click the Save button
- Click the "X" to close the window
- The connection should work now and present you with the authentication window
