Resolution Description | Common Use Cases for Resetting Permissions
- Webpages not loading correctly for your blue.butler.edu website
- Not able to read/write files when running programs on the Thomas server
- Not able to copy/overwrite existing files when accessing the Thomas server file share
Steps to Reset Permissions
- Remotely login to Thomas: How to Remotely log in to the Thomas Server via SSH
- Run the Fix_Account Script, type: fix_account and press enter
- You will receive a message that shows the script making sure all of your default folders and permissions are set, the permission reset is complete.
- Type: exit to logout of the thomas server.
