How do I view a video from a Library database (e.g., Kanopy, Films on Demand, etc.) embedded in my Canvas course? (Students)

Option 1 - Use Another Browser

1. Open or download a new Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser.
2. In Chrome or Firefox, navigate back to your Canvas course and log in to OpenAthens.

Option 2 - Enable Cookies

By default, Safari 13.1 blocks third party cookies—it’s a security measure, but when one software (like Canvas) tries to pass a login to another (like OpenAthens), the login ends up not being stored or able to be passed.

1. Follow the instructions below to enable cookies on your browser of choice:
   • Safari
   • Safari on iOS
   • Chrome
   • Firefox
   • Internet Explorer
   • Edge
2. Restart your browser after enabling cookies.
