You can login to the Panopto Recorder either by launching the desktop app directly from your computer or by launching it through Canvas. Launching through Canvas is recommended because the course folder is pre-populated in the Panopto Recorder.
Logging In though Canvas
- Select Panopto Recordings from the Course Navigation.
- Click the Create button.
- Select Record a new session.
- In the Record a new session window, select Open Panopto.
- When Panopto opens, you will be logged in automatically.
Logging In through the Desktop App
PC
- Launch the Panopto Recorder.
- Select the three-dot menu in the top right and select Use advanced sign in.
- Enter your Butler email and password and click Login. Note that you may need to scroll down to see "Login" on some displays.
Mac
- Launch the Panopto Recorder.
- Click the Sign In button in the upper right.
- Sign in using your Butler email and password.
Note: If you do not see the Canvas login screen, click on More Sign-In Options and select Canvas from the dropdown list.
