Resolution Description
  1. Go to https://informatics.perkinelmer.com/sitesubscription.
  2. Find "Butler University" from the list of universities.
  3. Click on the first link to register for the software using your Butler email address. (Note: There are two links to register, however check the listing to see what products are available and select the one that fits your needs. For example, the second registration link allows you to register for ChemDraw 18.0).
  4. Enter in the required information (First Name, Last Name, Address 1, City, Zip/Postal Code, Country, State, Email Address). The Account ID should be completed automatically.
  5. Click Register. After a few minutes, you will receive an email with your login information for the PerkinElmer Download Center.
  6. Click on the link in the email to set up your account and password (Note: this does not have to be the same as your Butler password, and does not change if you reset your Butler password). Once you have set up the account, go back to the PerkinElmer Download Center login screen and enter your credentials. 
  7. Click on List Downloads under Downloads
  8. Click on ChemDraw Professional under Downloads towards the top of the page
  9. Click on ChemDraw Professional under the Quick Start Guide
  10. Locate the operating system you are running (either PC or Mac)
  11. Click the file on the far right to download the installer for ChemDraw 
  12. Once the file downloads open the application to install ChemDraw
  13. Confirm the location where the application will install on your device
  14. The program will extract and then prompt for administrator approval, click Yes
  15. Click Next on the installer window
  16. Agree to the Terms of Service and click Next
  17. Leave the setup type as Default and click Next
  18. Click Next on the next two setup windows
  19. Click Install to finish install ChemDraw and the additional applications
  20. Click Finish and restart your computer when prompted
  21. Once your program is launched, it will prompt you to activate the software. To find your activation code from the PerkinElmer Download Center webpage, click on the "List Entitlements" tab on left navigation pane, then the most recent Entitlement ID and scroll right to find the Activation Code
  22. Enter in the required information and activation code.
  23. Click "Activate."
