Adding Your Personal LinkedIn Account to LinkedIn Learning
When you initially signup for LinkedIn Learning through Butler, you will be presented with the option to connect it to your personal LinkedIn account. When you connect your personal account, LinkedIn Learning can tailor content to your job position as well as share certifications you earn back to your LinkedIn profile. Connecting your personal LinkedIn account to LinkedIn Learning is completely optional and you do NOT need a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning. To connect your account:
- Visit LinkedIn.com/learning. Alternatively, you can visit linkedin.com and click on "Learning" in the top right corner.
- Click Sign In in the top right corner.
- Enter your Butler email address.
- Click Continue to Butler University to log in with your Butler credentials.
- You will now be prompted to sign in using your normal Butler credentials as well as the 2-factor authentication method you use.
- The option to connect your personal LinkedIn account will be presented to you. Select Connect LinkedIn account.
- Log in with your personal LinkedIn profile credentials.
- Confirm the account is the one you want to connect by clicking Accept and continue as.
- You will be guided through a few questions to customize the content that is presented to you in LinkedIn Learning. You can skip any of these screens.
- Set a weekly goal (optional).
- Select skills you would like improve (optional).
- You will now see the LinkedIn Learning content.
