How Do I Create a New Team in Microsoft Teams?

1. Choose Teams  on the left side of the app, then select Create and join teams and channels  above your list of teams and channels. 

2. Select Create team.                                                                                                    

3. Name your team and add an optional description. 

4. Teams will be set to Private by default. If you need to make your Team public, please follow the steps in Why Can't I Make My Team Public in Microsoft Teams?

5. Name your first channel. 

When you're done, select Create.
