Exceptions for Critical Business Functions:
IT can enable forwarding for shared mailboxes to allow critical business functions to proceed. Critical business functions are deemed appropriate when Butler processes are not able to continue without forwarding.
Examples:

Salesforce email to cases used by various departments for incident and request management.

Slate (Admission department communication system) is used for communicating with student applicants, parents, and other admission-related activities.
